Level 2 Health and Safety in the Workplace

Protecting you physically legally and financially!

It is a legal requirement for all employers to ensure that work practices and premises comply with current Health and Safety legislation and to provide appropriate information, instruction, training and supervision to ensure the health and safety of their employees. In certain situations, health and safety training is particularly important, e.g. when people start work, on exposure to new or increased risks and where existing skills may have become rusty or need updating.

At Jill Taylor Consulting we are pleased to offer such training as an adjunct to our industry specific food safety courses. The CIEH Health & Safety in the Workplace Levels 1 & 2 are compiled to meet most workplace requirements and circumstances.

The Level 1 course is designed to ensure employees aware of the key health and safety issues and the part that they should play in keeping themselves and others free from harm in the workplace.

The Level 2 course is designed to ensure that all employees are aware of their own safety and the safety of customers, contractors and the public. This course provides an introduction to most subjects covered under health and safety legislation such as working at height, manual handling, risk assessment etc but in the time frame allowed cannot cover all areas in specific detail. This qualification can be tailored to business and individual needs to make the learning experience relevant and fit for purpose.

The courses run for half a day and one day respectively, and include an on-the-day assessment through multiple choice question papers.

To support the generic health and safety training courses we are also accredited to provide Principles of Manual Handling, or Manual Handling Principles & Practice; Principles of Risk Assessment and Principles of COSHH all at Level 2 for those requiring training in these specific areas.

First Aid Training – should you require First Aid Training for your staff we work with a fully qualified partner company who can provide accredited support training of the highest quality. We will be happy to manage this requirement for you.
