Food safety training and consulting in Essex and Hertfordshire

An appropriate qualification in Food Safety is now a standard legal requirement for all who work in a food business, whether manufacturing, retail or catering. All food businesses are required by law to have the correct safe practices and procedures in place and the management systems to support their operation.

At Jill Taylor Consulting we specialise in the provision of training leading to examination and qualification in all relevant Food Safety Awards and HACCP, at all levels and for all sectors of the food industry. We also offer consultancy and advice on which practices and procedures are appropriate for your business and how to implement the relevant food safety management systems to ensure you achieve the best inspection reports and Food Safety Ratings.

In addition, we offer training and certification in the related areas of Health & Safety, Risk Assessment, Manual Handling and Healthier Foods and Special Diets. We are also able to support our clients by offering First Aid training through partner businesses who meet our stringent quality requirements.

Training programmes typically range from half a day to three days, and can be bespoke and provided on-site at a client’s workplace, or by enrolment on a registered course.

All courses are managed by Jill Taylor a CIEH & HABC accredited consultant, with over 30 years experience of the catering industry through a varied career starting in contract catering in the City of London, to providing party catering from home, to consulting advisor on Food Safety requirements in NHS hospitals and more recently working as a senior advisor and trainer of Food Safety and Health & Safety with Essex County Council, ACL, before establishing an independent consultancy.

The Healthier Food and Special Diet Level 2 Award is not a legal requirement, but it is regularly requested as a valuable follow on from the Food Safety Level 1 & 2 Awards by those businesses and public institutions that recognise the part good nutrition plays in healthy eating and the planning of a well balanced diet.
